investing commodities
sharesomebody

I am interested in investing in Commodities but I am not sure how or how much money an initial investment would be.
I have been trading stocks for a year now on sharebuilder but they do not have a section for Commodities / futures.

Any advise or tips would be appreciated.

Commodities are not for the faint of heart. Have a long talk with your broker before going there.

A minimum account is 5-10k depending on the broker. Trading with an account that small means you will be required to use large amounts of leverage in order to trade anything. If you don’t plan to use leverage roughly 50-150k would be required, depending on what you are trading. Make sure you understand the leverage you are using before you invest in futures.
